Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Bangkok, Gulf JP is a major independent power producer in Thailand,currently 90% owned by JPHT and 10% owned by GHC.

Gulf JP sees new international ventures playing a significant role in the long term growth and strength of the company.

With the total capacity of above IPP and SPP projects, Gulf JP is the largest provider of electricity, serving both public (EGAT) and private clients in main industrial zones of Thailand. While the key business of Gulf JP is domestic power project development, Gulf JP sees new international ventures playing a significant role in the long term growth and strength of the company.

Every project of Gulf JP uses a state-of-art-technology to ensure maximum capacity with least environmental impact and is committed to world environmental standard as well as rights and welfare of local communities.  Sample events sponsored by Gulf JP are (i) the educational field trip, which encourages local people to learn and have a well understanding on the power plant business, the process of power generation, as well as its positive and negative consequences; (ii) the young river detective program, which teaches youths about … and enable them to inspect their water resources; (iii) academic scholarship provided to students with good academic performance, yet limited fund; (iv) religious ceremonies on various religious occasions.

J-Power Holdings (Thailand) Company Limited (JPHT)

Established in September 2007, JPHT is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of J‑Power and the vehicle for J‑Power’s existing and proposed new investments in Thailand’s power generation sector. Launched in 1952, J-Power has upheld the economic development of Japan as a special-purpose corporation for the development and supply of electric power. Organized primarily under government funding, J-Power has supported the stable supply of electric power, serving the electric power companies of Japan as a wholesale electric utility.

GJP Holding Company Limited (GHC)

Established in May 2007, GHC is a Thai company initially to partner J‑Power in preparing a response to IPP solicitation 2007 Request for Proposal (RFP) and developing the power projects and subsequently to become a shareholder of the Gulf JP.
