Incidence tracking

GULF recognizes that stakeholders play an important role in good corporate governance. Thus, stakeholder engagement is key part of the foundation upon which all our business activities are based. We have identified a number of stakeholder groups including shareholders and investors, local communities and community leaders, employees, suppliers, business partners, competitors, local and national state agencies, regulatory bodies, the media, and the general society.

We engage with our stakeholders and provide opportunities for communication through many different channels such as telephone, email, surveys, joint activities, official meetings, and, of course, through regular & direct in-person interactions. We collect feedback on important issues that help us ensure our business activities are conducted in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Incidences of wrongdoing or suspected wrongdoing can be reported through these various channels as well as through our whistleblowing channel. Whistleblower protections apply in all cases. The Internal Audit department independently investigates reports as soon as is practically possible and submits their findings directly to the Audit Committee for further consideration. Lessons learned from incidences are used to help improve our operating procedures and internal controls, as well as our employee training.
