GULF Supports 1.2 Million Baht to Aid Soldiers Injured by Landmines at Thai-Cambodian Border

In a show of support for the nation’s armed forces, Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) has provided 1.2 million baht in financial assistance to three soldiers injured by landmines. The incident occurred during a border patrol mission at the Chong Bok border crossing between Thailand and Cambodia. Mr. Sitamon Ratanavadi, Assistant to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, GULF, presented the donation to the injured soldiers. The recipients include Private Thanaphat Huiwan, who sustained serious injuries and lost a leg, Sergeant Phatiphan Srilasak, and Private Natthawut Srikhim. The contribution is intended to serve as a significant morale boost for the soldiers who demonstrated exceptional bravery and sacrifice in the line of duty. The donation ceremony was held at Fort Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province, where Mr. Sitamon was welcomed by Major General Akarapong Moonpradab, Commander of the 22nd Military Circle, and Colonel Sala Thapthaworn, Director of the hospital.

Mr. Sitamon Ratanavadi, Assistant to Deputy CEO, GULF, stated, “I have been following this incident with great sympathy for our frontline soldiers. Many of them are heads of households with loved ones waiting for them, a situation I understand well as my grandfather was also a soldier. As a fellow citizen, I felt compelled to contribute to their aid. During this visit, I also learned that Fort Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital is in need of essential medical equipment to support its ongoing operations and to care for personnel injured in border-related incidents.”

In a related effort, Thaicom and AIS, both subsidiaries of the GULF Group, have previously supported the Thai-Cambodian border defense mission. They enhanced communication security for officials in remote areas by providing high-speed internet via Thaicom’s satellite system for border operational centers and mobile units. The companies also expanded 4G/5G signals to facilitate better communication for security officers on border duty, which has improved the efficiency of real-time coordination and situation monitoring.
