From Home to the World: KTC FIT Talk 19 Unites Partners to Drive Clean Energy Solutions Toward Net Zero

KTC, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, GULF, SCG, and HomePro, hosted the 19th KTC FIT Talk under the theme “Power from Home, Power for the Future,” promoting clean energy adoption in households. The seminar highlighted practical solutions for energy efficiency, cost savings, and carbon reduction—equivalent to cutting 1,000 tons of CO₂e or planting over 70,000 trees—supporting the circular economy and long-term sustainability.

Ms. Amnuayporn Prakobnoppakao, Managing Director, GULF1, and Executive Vice President - Head of Solar Business, Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) emphasized “Sustainability is at the heart of our strategy. Every additional megawatt generated from clean energy directly benefits households and businesses through more efficient power use and reduced environmental impact. GULF is committed to increasing the share of renewable energy to over 40% of our total capacity by 2035 and achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. GULF1 and our integrated solar brand ‘1RTid’ has a clear roadmap to make rooftop solar adoption a truly ‘simple decision’ for every household, with trusted safety, standardized installation, and real-time monitoring of electricity savings. ‘1RTid’ is not just a solar solution, but a way to bring families greater happiness—where every day at home feels like a ‘Sunday’ or a ‘Family Day,’ free from the worry of rising electricity costs. In addition, GULF1 has partnered with partners such as AIS, enabling wider customer access through AIS shops nationwide, including KTC, our strong financial partner, to offer flexible payment options that make rooftop solar both practical and cost-effective in the long run. These efforts reflect our unwavering commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and value-driven solar rooftops for everyone.”

Ms. Charuwan Phipatana-phuttapanta, Senior Professional Scientist and Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Group, Solar Energy Development Division, Department of Alternative Development and Efficiency, stated, “Thailand is targeting carbon neutrality by 2050 and aims to raise the share of renewable energy to 50% by 2037. Household participation is crucial—every home is a foundation for change. Sustainability is no longer something we should do, but something we must do, affordable energy and a better quality of life. Government energy policy is therefore designed to align environmental and economic goals, creating shared value for consumers, businesses, and communities. The government is committed to supporting household solar adoption through higher safety standards, streamlined permitting, tax incentives, and public education for both technicians and consumers.”

Mr. Nattasit Soontranu, Head of Credit Card Marketing at Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC), shared “KTC integrates sustainability into every aspect of its operations, aligning with evolving consumer expectations while maximizing long-term social value. On the environmental front, KTC has reduced over 110,000 kg of CO₂ emissions—equivalent to planting more than 12,000 trees—through initiatives such as fully digital shareholder meetings and the adoption of e-Applications, e-Statements, and e-Payments.

Socially, KTC promotes diversity and inclusion through the ‘Beyond Rainbow’ platform, empowering businesses to embrace LGBTQ+ equality. In governance, the company has established a dedicated committee to ensure transparency and accountability, earning an AAA ESG rating and maintaining ESG100 membership for over nine consecutive years. KTC is also building a clean energy ecosystem through the ‘Save You, Save the World’ campaign, offering members 0% installment plans, cashback, and exclusive deals on solar rooftops, energy-saving appliances, and home improvement products. These efforts aim to empower households to reduce their carbon footprint while enjoying long-term savings and improved quality of life. As a result, KTC credit card spending in the home and furniture category has grown significantly year-on-year, with a rising number of members in this segment. Beyond monthly savings, the ultimate goal is to create lasting positive impact—where energy-efficient homes enhance family well-being and contribute to a sustainable, low-carbon society.”
