GULF Supports Defibrillator and Patient Monitor to Fort Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province

Mr. Sitamon Ratanavadi (4th from left), Assistant to Deputy CEO, GULF, presented a Defibrillator and Patient Monitor to Fort Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani province. Colonel Sala Thapthaworn (3rd from left), Director of the hospital, and the emergency medicine team (Sky Doctor) accepted the donation.
Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) continues its commitment to social responsibility by delivering the Defibrillator and Patient Monitor, valued at over 2 million baht, to Fort Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani province. This donation aims to enhance the hospital’s capacity to save lives in emergency situations and support the dedicated medical professionals working in border areas. In addition, GULF also continued its 100-million-baht fund initiative by providing financial assistance to the families of three soldiers who sacrificed their lives while on duty to protect national sovereignty in the border regions.
Currently, hospitals in Ubon Ratchathani province have only one portable defibrillator, which is not sufficient for emergency situations. The donation of this new life-saving equipment, which is the second of its kind in the province, will significantly improve medical preparedness to handle all situations, including emergencies in border areas. The Defibrillator and Patient Monitor is a crucial tool for patients with irregular or sudden cardiac arrest. It features both a manual mode for medical professionals and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) mode, allowing the medical team to choose the most suitable option for each situation. The device also supports telemedicine, enabling real-time transmission of patient data such as heart rate, blood pressure, and blood oxygen levels to other medical teams for rapid consultation and treatment planning. It can also connect to and control an Auto CPR device, ensuring continuous and consistent chest compressions to increase the patient’s chances of survival.
Mr. Sitamon Ratanavadi, Assistant to Deputy CEO, GULF, stated, “GULF team and I are delighted to be back here again. We recognize the importance of this hospital as a frontline facility that fully cares for both soldiers and civilians in the area. Our team previously visited in July to provide financial assistance to soldiers injured during their mission at Chong Bok. Today, we are proud to donate this Defibrillator and Patient Monitor, and we hope it will enhance the efficiency of the medical team, allowing them to save lives more effectively. My sincerest best wishes go out to the medical team.”
Major Saranyu Sanchai, an emergency medicine doctor or Sky Doctor, stated, “The equipment we received from GULF is extremely important as it boosts our potential and efficiency in saving lives in situations where we are racing against time. This device meets both medical and military standards, allowing it to be used safely on a helicopter to transport patients, which will greatly increase the survival rate of the injured. We are very grateful to GULF for recognizing the importance of helping both soldiers and civilians.”
