GULF Mobilizes Urgent Aid for Southern Flood Victims, Joining Forces with the Royal Thai Air Force to Deliver Vital Relief Supplies

In response to the severe flooding that has caused widespread devastation across Southern Thailand, Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) has mobilized its resources to provide immediate assistance to affected communities. Led by Ms. Theerathiphisa Tawichpasoot, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, the company rallied GULF volunteer team as known as ‘GULF Asa’ —comprising representatives from the headquarters and power plants within the group, including Gulf Uthai and Gulf Nong Saeng power plants. Together, they packed 1,000 ‘GULF Care’ relief bags, filled with essential survival items such as UHT milk, canned food, instant noodles, household medicine, and drinking water. In a strategic collaboration to ensure rapid delivery, GULF partnered with the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) to transport these supplies to flood-stricken areas. The handover ceremony took place at Military Airport 2, Don Mueang, with Air Chief Marshal Wisut Sompakdee, Qualified Officer of the RTAF, and his delegation receiving the supplies on behalf of the Air Force for further distribution.

Expanding Relief Efforts on the Ground Beyond the airlift operations, the GULF Asa team traveled directly to the affected areas in Chana District, Songkhla Province, to distribute an additional 8,000 GULF Care relief bags to distressed residents. Furthermore, recognizing the logistical challenges in the area, GULF donated two motorized flat-bottomed boats to support rescue and relief missions in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.

Commitment to Recovery GULF remains steadfast in its mission to continuously aid flood victims across various impacted regions. The company stands ready to be a vital force in the post-flood rehabilitation process, aiming to help communities overcome this crisis and return to their normal lives as quickly as possible.
