GULF Brings Joy to Youth with Craniofacial Anomalies, Partnering with Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center to Host ‘Happy Family Day 2025’ at Safari World

Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF), in collaboration with the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society, organized “Happy Family Day 2025.” The event aimed to provide youth under the Center’s care with quality family time, fostering positive psychological experiences and social learning skills to help them adapt and confidently interact with others. More than 20 ‘GULF Asa’ (GULF Volunteer) staff members accompanied the children to explore the wonders of Safari World Bangkok, opening a world of learning and fun. The event was presided over by Prof. Emeritus Dr. Charan Mahatumarat, Head of the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center.

Mr. Sitamon Ratanavadi, Assistant to Deputy CEO, Gulf Development Public Company Limited, stated, “A key pillar of our social mission, under the concept ‘Powering the Future, Empowering the People,’ is supporting public health to ensure equitable access to effective medical treatment. GULF has been a steadfast supporter of the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center since 2016, ensuring that patients with craniofacial anomalies receive necessary care. Crucially, we also provide educational opportunities through the ‘Powers the Dreams’ scholarship project, which we initiated in 2019. This program supports patients in reaching their full educational potential, reducing financial burdens, and securing their futures. To date, over 100 scholarships have been awarded.”

Mr. Sitamon added, “Happy Family Day is an initiative GULF supports consistently. This year, at Safari World, our GULF Asa volunteers took the children on a learning adventure. This experience not only enhances social skills and adaptability but also strengthens family bonds and sparks inspiration in the children. Our volunteers were dedicated to facilitating the activities and caring for the families, ensuring a day filled with laughter and joy from start to finish.”

Mrs. Saengthip Karn-in, a parent of one of the participating youths, shared her impressions, “I am delighted to be part of this activity and hope it continues every year. Seeing the children happy, laughing, and excited by new experiences fills my heart with joy as a mother. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the GULF Asa volunteers for their kindness, assistance, and excellent care for the children and families throughout the entire event.”

Happy Family Day 2025 marks the 11th consecutive year of this initiative. It is a core activity of the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society—the largest non-profit center for craniofacial treatment in Southeast Asia. Serving patients from across the country, the Center goes beyond physical treatment by providing a multidisciplinary team to support emotional and mental well-being, creating opportunities for patients and their families to build social skills and confidence.
