GSA Data Center Welcomes Office of the Permanent Secretary for Energy to Explore Pioneering Technologies Powering Thailand’s Digital Economy

Gulf Group, led by Mr. Smith Banomyong, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Edge Data Center, together with executive team, recently welcomed a delegation from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy, headed by Permanent Secretary Mr. Prasert Sinsukprasert. The delegation visited GSA Data Center 01 (GSA01), a 25.6‑megawatt joint venture between GULF, AIS, and Singtel, located in Samut Prakan province. The visit aimed to explore innovations in data center technology and energy efficiency, as well as discuss energy management strategies for the digital industry, underscoring the continued expansion of Thailand’s data center sector and strengthening the nation’s position as a regional digital hub.

GSA01 is a trailblazer as the first data center in Thailand to be fully equipped with advanced liquid cooling technology, significantly enhancing Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). It is also the first facility in the country to deploy the latest generation of AI processors, enabling the management of massive data volumes and meeting the demands of Cloud, Hyperscale, and AI clients that require stable, secure, and sustainable digital infrastructure. Designed for scalability, the facility adheres to Tier 3+ international standards. It is engineered to be seismic resistant, located in an area with no flood history for the past 100 years, and offers low latency telecommunications connectivity. Demonstrating excellence in both security and environmental responsibility, GSA01 received the “Best Structured Finance Deal (Thailand)” award for its THB 7,295 million Green Loan. It has also earned the ISO 27001/2022 certification for Information Security Management.

Gulf Group continues to expand its data center portfolio, with GSA Data Center 02 (GSA02) and GSA Data Center 03 (GSA03) currently under development in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), a strategic hub poised to support the future growth of Thailand’s key industries and digital infrastructure.
