GULF Continues Mission to Bring Smiles with "GULF Sparks Smiles Year 6" Partnering with CU Dent to provide free dental services for the Klong Toey community

Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF), in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, has launched the 6th year of its CSR initiative, "GULF Sparks Smiles." The mobile dental clinic was stationed at the Klong Toey Recreation Center on February 12-13, 2026, with the goal of enhancing oral health and quality of life for residents in Klong Toey and surrounding areas, free of charge.
Ms. Yanisa Wattanakamnuan, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, GULF, stated, “Reaching the sixth year of ‘GULF Sparks Smiles’ reaffirms GULF’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility. We recognize that access to healthcare, particularly dental care, is a fundamental pillar of overall well-being. However, many communities face barriers such as high costs and travel difficulties. By bringing the team to Klong Toey today, we aren’t just treating dental issues—we are creating equal opportunities, elevating quality of life, and restoring confident smiles to the Thai people.”
Mr. Tanit Arunratanothai, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communications at the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, shared, “Klong Toey is a densely populated area with a high demand for dental services. Our primary mission today is to provide essential care, including oral examinations, fillings, scaling, and extractions. Operating an offsite unit presents unique challenges regarding space, lighting, and equipment compared to a standard hospital setting. Nevertheless, our dedicated team of dentists, staff, and GULF volunteers have prepared meticulously to ensure every patient receives the highest standard of safe and professional care. We are proud to help alleviate the financial burden on this community.”
Ms. Nittaya Prompochuenboon, Social Worker and Community Advocate at the Duang Prateep Foundation, expressed, “I want to thank GULF for bringing this wonderful project to Klong Toey. Oral health is essential for daily life, yet it is often neglected because professional dental care is prohibitively expensive for many. The community response has been overwhelming; residents were excited to register and walk-in from the very first day. We are deeply grateful to GULF and the dentists from Chulalongkorn for their dedication to our community’s health.”
The success of “GULF Sparks Smiles” is a testament to the power of collaboration between expert dentists, GULF volunteers, and student assistants. The initiative was further supported by the Klong Toey Recreation Center and Mrs. Prateep Ungsongtham Hata, Founder of the Duang Prateep Foundation, who played a vital role in community outreach. Over the past five years, the "GULF Sparks Smiles" project has traveled to various regions, providing essential dental treatment to over 6,000 individuals. This milestone reflects GULF’s core mission to prioritize social responsibility across all dimensions of its operations.
