Gulf Group Partnered with AGIBOT to Explore Practical Applications of Embodied AI in Thailand

Gulf Group, led by Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi (4th from left), CEO, GULF, signed the strategic partnership with AGIBOT, represented by Mr. Deng Tai Hua (5th from left), Founder & CEO, at a ceremony in Shanghai, China. The collaboration will focus on exploring practical applications for Embodied AI in Thailand.

Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) has announced a landmark partnership with AGIBOT, a leading global robotics company specializing in embodied intelligence. The partnership will combine AGIBOT’s embodied Al technologies with Gulf Group’s extensive presence across energy, telecommunications, and digital infrastructure. The two companies aim to support the localization and deployment of robotics solutions in Thailand and, over time, the broader Southeast Asian region.

Under the agreement, GULF and AGIBOT will develop a series of benchmark demonstration projects that signify industry trends. On the service front, robots will be deployed at retail terminals, reshaping the service experience through human-robot collaboration and achieving a dual upgrade in intelligence and convenience. On the industrial front, targeting the complex environments of power generation facilities, a matrix of inspection robots will be deployed, boosting operational safety and efficiency through 24/7 intelligent patrols.

Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi, CEO, GULF, stated: “Digital technologies and intelligent systems are bringing unprecedented opportunities for transformation to traditional industries. The large-scale implementation of robotics technology is not only a key pathway to enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and customer experience, but will also forge new paradigms for industrial upgrading. Through this partnership with AGIBOT, we will jointly advance robotics technology from concept validation to deep integration with business scenarios, thereby reshaping our Group’s entire value chain and pioneering a new paradigm of high-quality development.”

Mr. Abel Deng, President of Middle East and Asia Pacific Region, AGIBOT, stated, “Partnering with an industry leader like Gulf Group enables us to precisely address the localization needs of the Southeast Asian market and accelerate the deployment of embodied AI technology in real-world scenarios. This collaboration is not only a significant milestone for AGIBOT’s establishment in the Thai market, but will also serve as a core hub for our expansion across Southeast Asia and a key driver in executing our globalization strategy.”

To further this vision, both parties will establish a joint venture in Thailand. This entity will focus on localized data operations, model training, and end-to-end deployment services. This partnership underscores GULF’s commitment to innovation and its strategy to drive sustainable growth, reinforcing its position as a leader in the Asia-Pacific region.
