GULF COMMUNITY AND SOCIETY
Aside from its responsibility to stakeholders directly related to the Company’s
operations, such as investors and employees, GULF recognizes it also has a
responsibility to the general society. Thus, in addition to its corporate social
responsibility demonstrated through its commitment to value creation for its
shareholders and investors, and through its commitment to safe and responsible
operations, the Company’s corporate social responsibility is directed towards creating a
positive
impact on the quality of life for members of the local communities where the Company
operates and for society as a whole.
GULF emphasizes 6 areas of social development under the framework of IMPACT. In 2021,
GULF contributed well over 160 million THB to more than 100 projects under the
framework, benefiting over half a million people in Thailand and Vietnam.
GULF’s corporate citizenship efforts link directly with our support for the United
Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Our main priorities focus on elevating
quality of life for everyone in the society through the promotion of good health and
well-being (Goal #3), quality education (Goal #4), and industry, innovation and
infrastructure (Goal #9). We have set the following KPIs to track our progress.

UN SDG #4 Quality education
Business benefit KPI:
Increased interest from high
potential job-seekers to fill at least 60% of open positions with talent from the
country’s top universities or engineering schools
Environmental/ Social benefit:
Increased employment
success for students; improved agricultural production or cost-savings for local
farmers (from agricultural learning center)

infrastructure
Business benefit KPI:
Increased number of large-scale/
national-level infrastructure projects
Environmental/ Social benefit:
Improved road safety
(fewer accidents) from better roads and lighting in local communities; direct and
