Gulf NLL2 successfully started commercial operation to EGAT and industrial customers

Gulf NLL2 Company Limited (GNLL2), a subsidiary of Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (GULF) and the operator of Gulf NLL2 power project, has commenced the sale of electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) on January 1, 2019 under the Small Power Producer (SPP) program.

The Gulf NLL2 power project is located adjacent to Gulf NLL project in the WHA Rayong Industrial Land, Rayong province. The project has an installed power generation capacity of 126.9 megawatts along with an installed steam generation capacity of 10.0 tons per hour. GNLL2 will supply 90.0 megawatts of electricity to EGAT pursuant to a 25-year power purchase agreement and will supply the remaining power and steam generation capacity to industrial users under long-term contracts.

The Gulf NLL2 is the ninth gas-fired SPP completed under Gulf MP Company Limited (GMP), which develops 12 power plants. The remaining three SPPs are currently under construction and are expected to begin commercial operations between March and July 2019.
