GULF’s Corporate Brand Value Tops in Energy and Utilities Category
for the 3rd Consecutive Year at ASEAN & Thailand’s Top Corporate Brands 2023
Gulf Energy Development Plc (GULF), led by Ms.
Yupapin Wangviwat (left), Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Chief Financial Officer, received the
highest corporate brand value award in the energy and utilities sector at ASEAN & Thailand’s Top
Corporate Brands 2023 from Prof. Wilert Puriwat (right), Dean, Chulalongkorn Business School,
Chulalongkorn University. The awards ceremony was held at Chulalongkorn University Auditorium,
Bangkok.
Gulf Energy Development Plc (GULF) won ‘Thailand’s Top Corporate Brands’ award for achieving the
highest corporate brand value, amounting to 340 billion Baht, in the energy and utilities sector.
This recognition was part of the 14th ASEAN and Thailand’s Top Corporate Brands 2023, organized by
Chulalongkorn Business School’s Master in Branding and Marketing (MBM) Program, in collaboration
with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Manager Online. The continued success affirms GULF’s
standing or positioning as an industry leader, propelled by robust performance and adherence to good
governance principles.
The brand valuation methodology employed by the judges was the Corporate Brand Success Valuation, known
as CBS Valuation. This method relies on data from the financial statements of SET-listed companies from
the past three years. The CBS Valuation formula systematically integrates marketing, financial, and
accounting principles to objectively quantify a company’s brand value in financial terms. Companies must
have a corporate brand value of at least 5 billion Baht to be eligible for the CBS Valuation and become
a potential award recipient.
